WHY SOURDOUGH?

Simple answer is - less is more! There's no additive or preservative involved. No commercial yeast, no shortcuts. You know what's in your bread - flour, water and salt. The long, slow fermentation makes a loaf of sourdough bread more nutritious than yeasted bread, as the body can access and absorb more of the fibre, vitamins and minerals contained in the loaf. So that the sourdough bread is easier digested, and it increases resistant starch, which can control blood sugar!

HOW DOES IT WORK?

Choose the products you want, order and select a delivery day. You can choose a subscription or once off purchase. Make the payments and the rest is on us. On the nominated delivery day, you'll have a freshly baked goods at your doorstep.
If you have any allergies and would like certain ingredients to be left out, please leave a message when placing an order.

DELIVERY INFORMATION

Delivery areas update:

For addresses within postcode 3796 (Mount Evelyn, VIC) and 3140 (Lilydale, VIC), free delivery for orders above $20. For orders below $20, delivery fee is $2.

Deliveries are on Fridays between 11am-2pm. If you prefer your order to be delivered before certain time, please leave a note when placing the order and I will try my best to cater for it.

If you are ordering multiple items and want them to be delivered on the same day, please make sure you choose the same delivery date for all of them.

You don't have to be in for deliveries, just leave a message when you place the order to advise where to leave the deliveries if you're not home (especially if you have pets, it's better to be a place out of reach of your fur babies). If you are concerned about the birds, you can leave a box or basket or esky with lid for me to pop the bread inside.

Please note, if you choose to pick up the order but fail to show up within 48 hours of the first pick up notification was sent, the product will be disposed and unfortunately no refund will be accepted.

DO YOU SLICE LOAVES

Unfortunately as I'm running in a home-based bakery, I don't have the space or funds for a bread slicing machine. So all loaves are sold as whole un-sliced. Please don't request sliced loaves if you can.

ARE THE PRODUCTS PACKAGED?

Yes all the breads will be packaged with an eco-friendly brown paper bag (no plastic packaging) and sweets will be either in a paper bag or paper box. All of the packaging is composable and recyclable.

GLUTEN FREE?

Unfortunately, as restricted by the baking space I have, suggested by the Health Officer, it would be impossible for me to offer any gluten free options at the moment due to potential cross contamination

CAN I BUY YOUR PRODUCTS FROM A SHOP OR MARKETS?

Absolutely!

Current wholesale partners:

Every Saturday mornings, a batch of freshly baked country loaves are delivered to Mount Evelyn IGA (38-40 York Rd, Mount Evelyn VIC 3796) usually around 11am.

Deliveries for Carter Bros Fruit & Veg Silvan with fresh country/seeded/fruit loaves will be every Friday and Saturday mornings at around 9:30am.

SAMPLES

If you are genuinely interested in becoming a wholesale partner and keen to support small local businesses, please reach out for samples or simply purchase some loaves from the current wholesalers(as mentioned above) to try. Please note that I will charge a discounted price for the samples, they are not free, simply because the ingredients and labour costs. Thanks for understanding that.

HOW DO I KEEP MY BREAD FRESH?

ORDER CUT-OFF?

For Sourdough loaves and Sourdough sandwich loaves, they're best consumed when fresh but you can keep them at room temperature for up to 3 days in a container or zip bag. They toast up beautifully. Alternatively, if you don't intend to consume them straight away, you can slice and freeze the loaves and heat them up in the oven or toaster easily.

Yes, given the long fermentation process required to produce a Sourdough loaf, here's the cut-off time:
For Friday deliveries, you'll need to place the order before Wednesday 8pm.

SUBSCRIPTION

OUT OF STOCK PRODUCTS

If you're interested in signing up for a subscription, there's an known issue of Wix that you can't put multiple items in one subscription. I know, it's frustrating! If that's the case, please leave me a message so I can create the product combo for you!

The subscriptions can be suspended or cancelled at any time as you wish, just send me a message if required.

I've put out the links of all the products (except for seasonal e.g. Christmas and Easter) on the website, but only the baseline products are shown as in stock each week. If you'd like to order any of the out of stock products, please send me a message or request for back in stock on the product page. This way I get to know which products attract more interest and will put them back in stock.
